Liftwatch 5

Liftwatch 5 optimises the legal lifting capability of any machine on which it is installed, providing maximum return on your investment in the minimum time, and effectively turning your excavator into a mobile crane. It provides the operator with safe load indication and operating radius over the entire working envelope, and so improves safety management and makes planning lifts far easier. In addition it provides tangible added value as it is capable of monitoring digging depth, equipment height and slew position. Also available is Liftwatch RCI for road/rail excavators, which takes account of operation on level or canted rails, the need for backward stability protection, and the interlocking of machine controls.

Heightwatch

Heightwatch is a height restriction system designed to limit the maximum angle, and therefore the height, of a single fixed length boom. The machine operator can adjust and set the height limit inside the cab using a display unit that comprises a key switch, warning lamps and an audible alarm. Pre-set limits are permanently recorded and, for additional security, the key can be removed to lock the setting. Slew sensors can also be fitted to monitor the position of the turret and its equipment.

TMI

The Solid State Moment Indicator is a progressive overload warning device for excavators, lorry cranes and loaders that do not require height, depth or slew limiting. Many manufacturers meet safety standards by fitting a pressure switch to the boom lift cylinder on their machine. This approach can reduce lift capacity by up to 45%, however, the TMI uses advanced software to determine safety limits with no reduction in lift capacity. The in-cab unit uses green, amber and red indicators to display load moment status and an audible alarm can also be mounted here, or at the cane operating station.
